Microsoft adCenter
Last week, Microsoft finally announced the launch of Microsoft adCenter in the UK. The deal with Yahoo has been terminated and adCenter now serves all of the paid search traffic for MSN Search and Windows Live Search.Microsoft hopes it will now be able to provide advertisers with a strong alternative to the contextual advertising offerings from Google and Yahoo.
And because it advertises your product on MSN Search - which boasts the audience that clicks to buy most often - it has already been shown to convert 57% better than Google and 48% better than Yahoo in the US (WebSideStory, 02/06).
Microsoft's ace up its sleeve is the demographic targeting AdCenter is able to offer. It enables the company to offer an audience profiler, to provide advertisers with profiles of users who have searched on specific keywords.
